Long Path Tool

In this blog, I'm going to give a brief explanation on Long Path Tool. You can easily understand what is it. 

Introduction

In the current sophisticated world, the use of PC/Laptop has become prevalent in a variety of areas. Computer plays a major role in storing the data, sending the data, accessing the data from the servers etc., The data can be any of the file types like images(JPEG, PNG), Audio(MP3), Video(MP4,HD,3GP),Text files(TXT,ZIP, Word, Power point) etc., We store these files  in the folders or sub folders in the disk.

The files/folders are stored manually and can be customised by you if required in the future. But, sometimes if you check the disk space, you’ll find unexpected increase in space more than the required. This problem is due to the allocation of Junk files.

1. Temp Files
These are created by the windows and programs running in the computer that writes Temp(Temporary Files) Files. Temp files are the files which are created due to an irregular exit of the programs running in your PC. You may restart your System sometimes while a program is running behind. But, the Temp files help to undo the program running in your PC. Most the people may unaware of this. Some Temp files will be created by the windows which cannot be deleted. ‘More the files, more the disk space occupied and less the performance of the System’.   

2.Malicious Files 
Malicious files are the files like virus/worms which lowers the performance of the machine. Virus files decreases the performance of the computer and some malware files may even removes the authentication of your device by installing key loggers etc., This helps the intruder to identify the key strokes which you press in the keyboard. There are some files like bat files when run on your PC will create a folder within the folder due to the continuous iteration of creation of it.
The Temp files which I’ve mentioned above also contain these bat type(not complete bat) of files.

Therefore, the residing of these files will downturn the efficiency and performance of the overall system and your System gets struck sometimes while opening or running any program , even sometimes the PC will stop working completely.

So, here comes the use of Long Path Tool.

Long path tool is a tool of krojamsoft which helps you to access the files which are beyond the control of your system API.

Suppose, we want to delete the temp files in the PC,There may be some files when deleted pops up a small window saying that "this file cannot be deleted because there's already a program running this”. This tool can overcome this problem simply by selecting the file and setting that file path in the tool. Even when the name of the file is too long than required, this tool is very helpful.(This the ultimate use of this tool).

In some cases there may be files which are located very deep and difficult to browse. In these situations this tool ideal.

Long path tool makes you more comfortable to browse the files that are having the character length of 32,767.

It also performs the actions like deletion of system locked files, it can display the list of files and paths which have file path more than 200 characters in length.

It also removes the malicious files which cannot be resloved by PC/Laptop just by selecting that folder and clearing it.  

This is what called as the Long Path Tool.
